PEPPER

Pepper is a 1year old Boxer, Shar-Pei mix who was found wondering the streets playing in traffic and was VERY thin. But she has been picking up weight and has almost enough weight to be spayed! The vet says she will stay small reaching 45 lbs. maximum. Pepper is fully house broken and crate trained and is currently being started in level 1 obedience. with in 3 days she already has sit, down, and stay for short periods of time. She appears to have been hit by a car as one of her back legs is not 100% muscled but this does not bother her and if fully functional, she can romp, play, and run with the best of them The vet says with time and more exercise the muscle will build up and we will barely notice. She has lived with another dog, 3 cats, and next door to 5 children in age range of 2-13. There is not an aggressive bone in her body. She is wonderful with new people, and new dogs. She loves to go to the bark park and meet new dogs and also the regular park where she can meet new people and get love from children. Pepper loves to snuggle and thinks she is a lap dog as you can see in her photo! . She is up to date on all her shots, tested negative for heart worm, will be spayed as soon as she has gained enough weight, loves baths and showers, loves to get her teeth brushed, and loves pedicures (clippers or grinders!!!) . All she needs now is a Forever home! For more information on Pepper, contact Sal Spanier at 928-916-3998 or salspanier@gmail.com .

ZOE

Hello, My name is Zoe and I'm 3-year old, black, horsecoat, Shar-Pei. My family is not able to care for me any longer, due to financial hardship, but wants to make sure I go to the best home ever, so please, listen to my story and see if I might be able to come live with you. My Mom says I'm beautiful, do not have any health issues, have been spayed and am up to date on all my shots. I currently live with two other dogs and a cat, but Mom doesn't know if that would work in a new home. I like one on one and would much rather be an only child. Children frighten me, but older kids are fine. Mom says I'm a one person dog, but secretly I like everyone, I just love Mom best. Is there someone out there who is looking for a sweet, quiet, housetrained, girl to love? I would bond quickly, I promise... I live in N.E. Ohio. Please contact Christine at AtroposShadow@ameritech.net or 330-677-9771.

EMERSON

A note from Heather: I found Emerson, a male, ~8month old, black, shar-pei mix, 1/26/07 on 31st Street between Broadway and College in Indianapolis. He was running down the sidewalk with no collar on cold day. I opened my car door and he came running over to me. With a few biscuits I had his trust and loaded him into the back of my Jeep. A listing was posted in the Indianapolis Star stating that Emerson had been found. No responses were recieved. He was given a Capstar 1/26/07. He was noted to have scars all over his front legs, chest and face. His coat was dull, scratchy and some patchy spots. He was thin but not at the point of neglect. FACE spay/neuter clinic allowed me to keep him in a kennel there over the weekend until Monday when he was tested for heartworm (neg), neutered, vaccinated with a DHLPPC and Rabies on 1/29/07. I picked him up 1/30/07 and transported him to the Wood County Humane Society at 801 Van Camp Rd, Bowling Green, OH 43402, 419-352-7339. He did very well in the car and pretty much slept the whole way once he got over his initial nervousness out of the city. The humane society was given another Capstar and a Yellow Interceptor to give to Emerson to take care of any internal parasites, heartworm prevention and adult fleas he might have. The only feedback besides that he is a very sweet dog is that he needs some training on leash walking. One note I forgot to mention was that FACE seemed to think he is housetrained because he never went to the bathroom in his kennel. For more information on Emerson, please email Heather at sparkle_7902@yahoo.com.

KITCHI

Hi! I was chained to a tree for a long time. I was living in filth. Even though I have been treated so poorly I really just want someone to love. I am so gentle that the vet who is sometimes nervous about Shar Pei's (he must have had a bad experience) thought I was a sweet heart. I have been given a bath at the vet's. I was neutered on 8/2/06, had my ears flushed and treated, heartworm tested, treated for fleas, parasites, dosed with Revolution and vaccinated. (BOY I FEEL GOOD NOW.) I currently weigh about 30 pounds. Once I fill out (now that I am being cared for) I will weigh about 60 pounds. I am about 8 to 12 months old (I am a baby). My foster mom said to tell you I am sooooo sooooo sweet and my name KICHI means FORTUNATE....... I really am to have everyone want to help me. My adoption fee is $250 to help cover all my medical bills and antbiotics. If you are interested in me please contact my foster mom at willowcreeksanctuary@adelphia.net.
