Hi! I'm Champ! If you meet me, you will see that I'm a super happy boy as my tail wags non-stop & all I'd like to do is play. Believe it or not, I will even sit still for you to dress me in your favorite costume or sweatshirt! I prefer the Badgers but am open to other possibilities. Since I've come into SPS I've been told that my coat is absolutely beautiful; probably from the great food & vitamins I've been receiving from Jane & Burt who have been taking care of me at the kennel. Don't get me wrong, I really like the kennel setting. I even overheard that I've been the best guest they've ever had but I would really love to have a family of my own. Because I wasn't socialized before I came to SPS, I need to be in a home without other dogs. If you have the room, and can keep me separate from your pets, could I at least stay with you until I find a forever family of my own? Hi everyone! I’m Mai Tai! I'm brand new to SPS and am doing well at my foster home. I like my canine foster siblings pretty well, but would do best with a laid back dog. I LOVE people – and petting! LINDY

Hi, everyone, it's me - Lindy, and I wanted to update you on what's been happening with me! My new foster mom has lots to say about me! "Lindy has been through a lot, and depstie all the changes she's had in the last few months, she is the sweetest, most well behaved dog ever! She is 7 1/2 years old, rescued by Shar Pei Savers when she was 2. SPS found her a forever home, and she lived happily with a family with three children for 6 years. They had to give her up due to the loss of their home. Lindy came back to SPS, was fostered her by her original foster family, where Lindy lived with 5 dogs and 2 cats until her foster family had to move, too. So I decided to foster her, and I must say, Lindy is a wonderful dog. She can live with children, dogs or cats - and she is great with cats. I have 3 and she doesn't bother them at all. She can be a bit of an escape artist, so she will need a securely fenced yard. She is also happy to go on walks a couple of times a day. If she really has to go potty, she will let you know with a little whine, she never goes inside. We leave her free in the house when no one is home, and she does just fine."

My foster mom says that I'm a pretty, slender, bone mouth shar pei. I'm a quiet girl, and might even seem timid at first. I have a good appetite, like my food, and love any treats you give me! My tail rarely stops wagging. She says that I'm no problem at all, am a total sweetheart, and will be a great companion for someone. My foster mom also says that I deserve a great home - where I'll be loved and taken good care of. I'd be forever grateful to you! What more could you ask for? Hi, my name is Ming! I’m new to SPS, so I will tell you a little about myself. First of all, I am very cute! But - you can see by my pictures how cute I am. My foster mom and dad say I am so sweet, and I love all big humans. Not sure about the little ones, but I am sure we will find out eventually. As soon as I meet some, I will let you know. I love to play and run in my backyard, so I would really like it if my forever home had a fenced in yard, so I can run with the wind. Hello, I'm Sundae and I'm approximately 4 years old. I'm a very sweet girl and I'm a very unusual girl too. I'm called a flowered Shar Pei which means I have really cool spots. I came into rescue with Dupree. My owners gave me up due to a broken home so I'm still trying to get used to being in a new place. I'm really sad that I need to find another home. I thought my first home was my forever home. I'm being fostered at a kennel in Ohio. My foster mommy simply adores me and takes me to classes to socialize me. I was a little afraid of some people but my foster mom has patience and she says I'm doing very well! I even come up for lovin' from new people - including Joe, with Shar Pei Savers, who came to see me and get some pictures. At my kennel home I get to run with other dogs just like me... but I long for a forever home where I can relax, have my own house, and maybe a couch or dog bed to sleep on. Hi everyone, it's me Asia. Just wanted to send new pictures of my cute little self. I have some news, I am going to obedience training with my foster mom. I am doing just great, the teacher always says to my foster mom, "what a good dog!". I can tell how proud my foster mom is when I doing everything just right. I really love going to class. As long as I am with my foster family, I will be going to classes, each one getting more advanced. One thing I am learning is to sit and stay - and wait for my foster mom to say OK. Hi everyone, it’s me Violet! I thought it was time for an update (see how pretty I am in my new pictures?!) on how I’m doing! I’m a super sweet and lovable girl. I would do best in a home with a submissive dog, or would be just fine by myself, too. I like cats and kids, though. I love, love, love running and playing in my fenced yard, and hope my forever home will have a nice fenced yard for me, too! But, you do need to keep an eye on me, since I am a good jumper and can jump baby gates – and I like to chase squirrels! I’m crate trained, but I don’t really like being in the crate unless I have to. I’m housebroken, too – but wouldn’t do well having to wait all day for a potty break. I’m very good about telling you when it’s time for me to go outside, though! I’m a mellow girl, but also like to play – especially with my squeaker toy! I love going for car rides, even though I’m a little bit squeaky during them. I can’t help it – I’m excited! I’m also really smart and know sit, stay, down, off, and give paw. And treats are my favorite!

My foster mom says I’m spoiled and that I’ve trained her to give me lots of attention, and that I’m a bed hog, too. I LOVE attention, and I like to follow you around the house. I also like to look out the windows, and will let you know if someone is at the door. I like it at my foster home, but sure would like to find a forever home really soon! Hi, my name is Preston and I am new to Shar Pei Savers. I am about 5 years old, completely house trained and I’m an energetic boy! I need to be walked everyday, and my foster mom takes me for at least 30 minutes. I am working on my leash manners, too! I get along great with my foster brother and sisters. SPIKE - Adopted!

Hi, I'm Spike! I was rescued from a place that kept me outside for the first three years of my life. I don't know how I did it, since Shar Pei are not outside dogs. I really like being inside now. I still like to be outside to do my business and run around a bit, but inside on my soft blanket is where I like it best. I really like to learn new tricks, and love the attention I get from learning them. So far I have learned sit, stay, lay down, and am working on leave it and quiet. I'm so smart! I like to meet new people, but men scare me a bit. I warm up to them eventually, but I prefer to say hi to the ladies first. I like my foster brother okay, but we sometimes argue over treats. I might be best as an only dog. I had to fight for my meals before, so it's hard for me to share sometimes. I would need a passive brother or sister. So, if you want a sweet dog to give you lots of love, go for walks, and are willing to help me learn how to be with a family, I'm your guy!

Hello Everyone! Thanks for checking up on me! I'm getting very cozy here with my foster family. I am so lucky to have another dog & kids to play with me. I get to go on lots of walks, and get to play all the time with my foster dog brother. We have a lot of fun! My foster family takes me to the dog park, where I get to run & play with all sorts of other dogs - I like them all big & small. After a morning of running around, I look forward to a nice afternoon nap. The kids here think I'm really funny because when I lay down, I like to keep one of my back legs out straight...it is very comfy. I'll wake up for a bit to chew on a bone, play, and now my foster mom & dad are starting to teach me things like to "sit" on command. I have a lot to learn, but I'm starting to catch on. When I first got here I was very thin...you could see all of my ribs & my hip bones. Now I look very healthy - I've gained about 10 pounds since being here! I'm not very fond of cats, so I stick to hanging out with other doggies. If you are looking for a fun loving, light hearted, social shar pei, I'm your girl!
