We found our forever homes!

Nikki

Nikki

Nikki was adopted by the Carlson family of Phelps, WI. Nikki loves to wade in the water with her two Labby siblings, Harley (aka Hog Dog) and Lily. I guess she doesn't know Shar Pei aren't supposed to like water! Special thanks to Monica Nowac and Paula Burkholder for helping Nikki along the way.

Nellie

Nellie

01/08/2010

Nellie is a 10 month old pei/retreiver mix who spent several weeks running loose in a cornfield before being caught and taken to the animal shelter. When she was rescued she was so scared and insecure she would "army crawl" instead of walking upright. After some medical attention and TLC she was happy and healthy and ready for a new home. At her very first adopt-a-thon appearance she was noticed by the Goodman family of Dublin, OH. A quick phone call brought dad down to approve the choice and it was love at first sight for all! Nellie is now living life as an indoor family companion and soaking up all the wonderful attention 3 children can shower on her! Thanks to the Goodman's for opening their hearts and home to Nellie. Thanks to Rob and Sharon Blaydes for fostering Nellie and thanks to the Harcourt Veterinary Clinic for providing Nellie's medical care.

From MoeJoe:
Hi, everyone! MoeJoe Hanovich here. I would like to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to SPS for letting my foster parents adopt me. I feel like I am in heaven! I even have 2 sisters and a brother, so I am never alone. We play all of the time. Here are some pictures of us. That one of me is laying on my king size bed - boy is that ever nice! Oh, there we are all playing with a toy that we got for Christmas, too! And yep - that is me laying on the couch with my Dad, snoozing on my Red Wings blanket! I could not have wished for a better forever home. Thank you!
From MoeJoe's family:
We would like to say thank-you to SPS for letting us adopt MoeJoe. I can't begin to tell you how much we all love him! He fits into our family perfectly.
Thanks from all of us,

Willow

Willow

01/08/2010

Willow was the second of the "Dayton Four" to find her forever home. Four Shar Pei were found in rural Dayton chained to a tree, heartworm positive, and at risk of becoming blind from untreated entropion. Shar Pei Savers came to the rescue and raised the funds needed so that all all 4 dogs were spayed/neutered, had life-saving heartworm treatments and also received entropion surgeries, vaccinations and microchips. Willow was nursed back to health by her foster mom, Nicole, who is pictured above. With superior care, Willow was ready for her forever home. Willow was adopted 10/18/03 by Ryan of Mackinac Island, MI. Willow is very loved and spoiled already by her new daddy. Special thanks to the Guardian Angels of the Dayton Four: Marty & Sherry Motto (Livonia, MI), Rita Curlett (Memphis, MI), Jennifer Prestil (Janesville, WI), Betsy Michels (Saukville, WI), Rob Jensen (Seattle, WI) and Anna Modla (Detroit, MI).

Monk

Monk

Monk was adopted by the Agas-Kwe family of DeForest, WI. Monk's mom, Jennifer, writes: "He is the greatest guy for us, we all love him sooo much. The neiborhood has gotten to know him as well. We have the regulars that walk by everyday and he is just so cute when he walks along the fence with them. They have started to talk to him as they pass. Thank you again for the chance to give him so much love as he is giving us." Special thanks to Kevin & Judy Wale for everything they did for Monk.
